Frequently Asked Questions About Study Abroad

Americans are now getting more involved in study abroad. International students have enjoyed the benefits for quite a while. There are many programs to choose from so just be careful that you find the right one for your interests.

Go Abroad: The Go Abroad program allows students to choose from one of 30+ different locations. You can choose from a few week or months in the country or should you desire you can stay for a semester or even longer. Whether you are looking to learn the language, get immersed in the culture, earn some college credit, or just volunteer; you can find a program to fit your needs. Don’t wait long to apply, because summer is just around the corner.

Sync your class schedule with your life schedule. You should not schedule morning classes if you do not like mornings, espeically if it is a hard class. Instead, choose evening or afternoon classes.

The Eurorail pass is an efficient way to travel in Europe. Some yurtdışı üniversite will purchase the Eurorail pass for you, while others require that you purchase it on your own if you’re interested in traveling from country to country. There are several different Eurorail plans at different rates. Some allow you to travel from one country to another limitlessly, while others restrict your access to three countries. Visit a ticket office for more information or consult your study abroad advisor.

Sometimes on tours you’re even given the opportunity to sit in on a college class. While a single class doesn’t determine the quality of the college (or even the quality of that professor), it still helps you connect with the campus. You will also have the opportunity to talk to other students and ask them about the professor or how happy they are with their classes.

Idea #1 – Go to Summer School and Kill 9 or 18 Hours Fast. This first idea is really the most obvious. Taking classes in the summer either during the first session, second session or both is an expeditious way to get some courses out of the way quickly.

Take plenty of toiletries to college with you. Their importance cannot be understated, and they can easily be used quickly. Buying in bulk is a good idea as it saves money.

While the college will do its best to cover up its flaws, by following these tips you may get a better grasp than most students on visit days. Being alert and open-minded will help you garner enough information to eventually make your life-changing decision on where to go for college.
